Saturdays, 6/23/18–7/21/18 | 10:00 AM–12:00 PM | 4 Sessions
Instructor: Olivia Dunn
Level: Beginner
Taking a fairly loose definition of the word “travel,” this course teaches you how to craft ordinary observations into exquisite essays, stories, or reportage. Whether your travel has taken you to far-flung lands or just into your own backyard, we’ll learn techniques to shape our experiences into vivid and engaging writing. We’ll look at examples of other writers’ travel literature, workshop our own pieces, and focus directly on the specific techniques of metaphor, scene, voice, and revision. NO CLASS 7/7.
