Event: Large-Scale Relief Printing Workshop & Pop-Up Exhibition

  • Learn drawing, carving, and printing a 24 by 36-inch woodblock
  • Conveniently done from the comfort of your home

  • Instructor support through email or phone for any questions

In-Person Instruction:

  • Workshop concludes with an in-person meeting with Castonguay at one of the listed art centers
  • Learn proper woodblock printing techniques, including ink application
  • Create multiple impressions of your design on acid-free paper
  • Opportunity for knowledge-sharing and collaboration with other students

Custom-Built Printing Press:

  • Castonguay brings “The Big Tuna,” a custom-built giant printing press
  • Known for its size and precision in creating flawless woodblock prints
  • Workshop registrants receive three prints produced by The Big Tuna

  • Legion Paper provides a selection of carefully chosen papers
