The Arts Center has served millions of people over our 60 year history, through studio-based classes, exhibitions, professional training programs, public art, and regranting programs. We pride ourselves on our ability to teach all levels of interest, from how to work with art materials and how to realize personal expressions, to advancing our community’s cultural dialogue. This event’s proceeds will form the bedrock of support for our programs as we continue to serve our communities.
2023 Gala Honoree
F. Michael Tucker brings a 40-year record of accomplishment as a leader in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Known for his balanced business approach and strategic thinking, he has long been a catalyst in creating the environment needed for businesses and organizations to succeed.
In addition to serving as President of Tucker Strategies, Inc., a real estate development consulting firm, Mike currently serves as President and CEO of Columbia Economic Development Corporation (CEDC). From 2007 to 2015, he served as President & CEO of the Center for Economic Growth (CEG) where he successfully fostered partnerships to attract and grow high-tech and advanced manufacturing in the Capital Region.
Mike has been a strong promoter and supporter of the region’s arts, culture and tourism resources. While at CEG, he took a lead role in regional efforts to identify and quantify the Capital Region’s creative assets, developing a blueprint to leverage our creative assets to stimulate economic growth. Mike continues to actively advocate for the region’s many creative and cultural organizations as a member of the Capital Region Economic Development Council. In addition, he is a longtime Trustee of the Albany Institute of History and Art, where he currently serves as its Board Chair.
