The Arts Center is excited to welcome back acting and theatre classes for the first time since 2019 in our new and improved Black Box Theatre! The Arts Center Black Box theatre has undergone a remarkable upgrade, encompassing state-of-the-art theatre curtains, a cutting-edge lighting grid, top-notch equipment, and an exceptional sound system. These enhancements promise to greatly enrich our newly established theatre arts programs, presenting an array of exciting opportunities and experiences for our participants. Led by educator and theatre professional Megan Stacey, these classes range in age from children to adult to ensure there is something for everyone in the family!
11/11/2023 l Puppets: Design & Play! (Ages 5-11 w/ parent)
Come utilize all that the arts center has to offer in this one off workshop! Students and parents alike will be led through creating a one of a kind puppet for performance, followed by a workshop in puppet performance techniques.

Constantly thinking “gosh, I wish that was a show?” Filming your own skits at home? Constantly dreaming up performances for you and your friends? Devising is the art form for you. Learn how to make a live performance from just an idea. Students will learn how professional devisers approach projects, and experiment with performance development techniques that will be used for years to come.
