Bob has been a furniture maker for more than 30 years and an instructor at The Art Center since graduating from The College of the Redwoods Fine Furniture Program in 2003. He was awarded highest honors for having exhibiting and upholding the values and philosophy of the school and its founder James Krenov. 

Bob recalls sitting in James Krenovs’ living room, eating sweet buns and drinking tea and discussing wood as a medium; how to incorporate the features of the wood into the design of the piece. 

Bob believes that all craftsmen should pass down there knowledge to current and future furniture makers to keep the craft alive. “I work with my students to help them develop their wood working skills and grow their confidence.”
