On-street parking is limited between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. within the Central Business District.
City-Operated Lots & Garages All city-operated parking lots and garages are available for free overnight parking Monday through Friday, 6:00 pm – 8:00 am. Free parking is also available on weekends. They require permits for daytime parking. This includes the paved lot directly behind The Arts Center.
Parking Meter Pay Stations Parking meter pay stations are located in designated areas of downtown Troy. Customers must place their paid receipt on the dash board of their vehicles. These are available on 3rd street and other surrounding areas of The Arts Center. The City is undertaking a phased implementation plan for public parking improvements in Troy’s Central Business District, including upgraded parking meters, dedicated visitor parking, and online payment options for metered street parking. Please be sure to read the instructions on the pay-station, as all parking information is subject to change.
Please Note Unfortunately the gravel parking lot behind The Arts Center is not available due to construction until further notice. If you’re driving from west of Troy and crossing the river via Route 2 (turns into Ferry Street after the bridge) you can either take the Front Street exit or turn right onto 1st or 3rd Street. Parking south of Ferry Street is free.
