Where we were and where we’re going…
As we start a new fiscal year with a new CEO and the knowledge that we are keeping our building, we are raising the bar for excellence here at the Arts Center. Our mission is to engage people in the creative experience and, to serve our mission with excellence and at the standard our community has come to expect from us, we need to do better. To do better, we need your help.
Some of our equipment, like the kilns in our ceramics studio and the tools in our woodworking studio, are reaching the end of their lives; some of our technology, like the Mac computers and DSLR cameras in the Digital Arts Studio, need critical upgrades so we can continue to offer the most up-to-date classes and camps in our most popular media. We need your help to ensure we’re able to keep offering the highest level of classes and media you and our community count on us to provide.
The Arts Center made the decision a long time ago to keep the materials fees as low as possible; to ensure an affordable experience for as many people as possible. The material fees you’ve been paying, in addition to your tuition, let us buy the highest quality materials you’ll need for your classes. Unfortunately, it does not cover the upkeep of the studios, the equipment, or the building.
Donations of any size will help us reach our goals and make the Arts Center the best it can be. Please consider helping us, to keep the Capital Region creating.
If you have any questions, please call Nicole, the Director of Development, at 273-0552 ext. 226
Your gift will go to The Arts Center of the Capital Region Fund. While you won’t be purchasing the actual item, your donation will be used to help students take more classes and give them the best equipment we can provide.
