Monica Bill Hughes is a visual artist who lives and works in Albany, NY. She received a BFA (Magna cum Laude, 2007) from The College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. Monica is currently pursuing her MFA at The State University of New York at Albany (SUNY). Her work has been shown in Richmond, Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Anderson Gallery, The Perrella Gallery at Fulton-Montgomery Community College, and at Collar Works Gallery in Troy, NY among others. Ms. Bill Hughes is the recipient of the Hy Rosen Excellence in Painting and Drawing Award as well as a Teaching Assistantship from the University at Albany. She has been featured as a spotlight artist on the blog created by 1 Op Collective (Newark, NJ) and most recently in Fissure, an online exhibition through Gallery Ell, Brooklyn, NY.
