Maria trained at Studio Jewelers Ltd, an accredited jeweler’s trade school in NYC.  After completing their 720 hour program, she was hired by jewelry manufacturer, Ed Levin as a process designer.  Her work there entailed writing production instructions, creating tools with a tool and die maker and training craftspeople to produce new designs.  With the experience she gained working in a production shop, she moved on to work as a professional goldsmith doing repairs and custom fabrication in the jewelry studio at JK Bloom Jewelers in Troy for 7 years.  In 2010, she left her full time career to be a stay at home mother and 6 months later she joined the faculty at the Arts Center as a part time instructor.  In her 5 years of teaching at ACCR, she has developed and presented several new workshops and has revamped the syllabus for advanced level jewelry classes.
