M.E. Kemp is the author of five historical mysteries featuring two nosy Puritans as detectives.  Her New England roots go back to Salem, 1636 and to the founding of her home town, Oxford, MA, in 1713, where her family still live.  Her father’s love of American history was instrumental in her choosing Boston as the site for her series.  Prior to writing her first book Kemp wrote numerous articles for magazines and one textbook on local government. She teaches Mystery Writing Courses at libraries and  Kemp lives in Saratoga Springs, NY with husband Jack Rothstein and two kitties, Boris and Natasha, who edit her scripts and often tear them to shreds.
