8/28-9/1 From Page to Stage: Theatre Arts!

In this theatre arts exploration, campers will get to write, design, and perform their own play! Learn about story structure, character design, music, costumes, scenery, lighting, and more in our state-of-the-art black box theatre. Campers will develop their stage presence and confidence through improv, games, exercises, and lessons in the basics of performing arts, music, and movement, culminating in a play of their own design on the last day of camp (which family and friends are encouraged to attend).

8/28-9/1 Stained Glass Studio

Learn the basics of this art form during our stained glass camp. You’ll learn to work safely with the tools required, such as soldering irons and glass cutters, while creating your own stained glass designs! Get familiar with construction, glass cutting, copper foiling, soldering, and cleaning. You’ll be able to create a few of your own unique stained glass pieces to take home! Please note: fine motor skills are required. This camp involves the use of hand and power tools requiring fine motor coordination.

8/28-9/1 Ceramics Studio

Learn about all of the tools and techniques that the pottery studio has to offer and make your own clay masterpiece. We will spend the week learning a little of everything: the potter’s wheel, slab roller, clay extruder, and a variety of hand building techniques. You’ll leave this camp with many tricks up your sleeve! Project suggestions will be offered, but students are also encouraged to bring ideas with them and we can brainstorm how to make them!
