NYSCA DEC Grant Program

This community arts grant program consists of three categories: Community Arts, Arts Education and Individual Artist Commissions. Awards range from $500 - $5,000 and are available annually. Our current grant cycle is closed, but guidelines and information for next year will be posted here in August 2018.

business of art-extended session

Formerly Nuts, Bolts + Beyond, this artistic entrepreneur intensive program is offered FREE to artists in a 100-mile radius from the Arts Center and runs for 7 months. This program is designed for the artist looking for the tools needed to transform their hobby into a sustainable occupation. The cohort for this program has been selected for the 2017-18 season. Check back for more information late-summer 2018!

business of art - single sessions

Formerly Nuts + Bolts workshops, these one-off classes are designed to give introductory insight into of business questions. From resume building to taxes, copyright to social media, everything will be discussed. These FREE classes are open regularly on the last Wednesday of every month, from 6:30 - 8pm. Sign up today!

2018 - 19 Call for Entries
- Artist application

Submissions will be considered for opportunities including solo exhibitions, small and large group exhibitions, installation possibilities, and more. Visual artists in all media - painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, video, photography, performance, and mixed media presentations - are invited to submit proposals for consideration. Artists must live within a 100 mile radius of Troy, NY to be considered.

120˙ Intercollegiate regional

The Arts Center of the Capital Region, Saratoga Arts and the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council present the 120° Intercollegiate Regional, a juried fine art exhibition for students at­tending an accredited College or University located within 120 miles of Saratoga Springs, Troy, or Glens Falls, NY. The exhibition travels to a different host site each year highlighting the best of collegiate art students in the region.
