Love music? Ever thought of writing and recording your own but thought you didn’t have the tools? This week long camp will teach you how to use computers to write, record, and produce full-length songs. Enthusiasm for music, but no formal training, is required. You’ll learn multi-track recording (“overdubbing”), MIDI sequencing, mixing, effects, song structures, loop construction, composing music for video, and the basics of digital music distribution. MIDI controllers, headphones, microphones, speakers, software, and Apple iMac computers will be provided in our Digital Arts Studio. At the end of the week you’ll show off your original compositions and leave with the skills to continue creating on your own computer.
