“Salsa” is a word often used to describe Latin Music developed by Puerto Rican artists from New York City in the 60s and 70s who incorporated rhythms from a diverse range of sources—Afro-Cuban percussion, latin music, and jazz, among many others—into their own unique sound. “On-One” salsa is heavily influenced by the salsa scene in Hollywood and Los Angeles, CA. As a result, “On-One” is also commonly called “LA” style salsa, and is the style most commonly danced at social events. With that diversity in mind, come prepared to be social and have fun!
