It combines movement (asana), sound current (mantra), breath (pranayam) and deep meditation to relax and heal your mind and body, allowing the spirit to flow freely. This powerful and effective form of Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, PhD., Master of Kundalini Yoga, is a wonderful way to de-stress, recharge and heal your body quickly.

Kundalini Yoga meets you where you are. It’s not about how flexible you are, if you can touch your toes, or hold a posture for three minutes. We focus on the breath in conjunction with the rhythm of the asana. Each Kriya (set) is done to help you in different ways. For example, there are Kriyas for: Conquering Sleep, Relieving Inner Anger, Refreshing the Nervous System, Strengthening Your Immune System, Balancing Your Chakra System & Building Disease Resistance.

Some kriyas are more physical, some are more meditative and/or focused on your breathing. It varies from class to class.
Each individual does this practice at their own pace and your eyes are closed a majority of the time. This is a time to go inwards, it doesn’t matter what anyone around you is doing or not doing.

No previous yoga or meditation experience is required. Just join in this powerful practice and do your best!
