We will go over a variety of etching techniques, including hard ground for line drawing, soft ground for texture creating, and adding tonality with aquatint. Throughout the class, we’ll have ongoing discussion about how to choose the right paper, ink options and modifiers, how to dry your finished prints, signing and numbering your print edition, and printmaking safety. This class is open to all levels, from beginners to experienced printmakers. Outside of class, studio hours will be offered for independent working time. NO CLASS 5/1.
