Rentals for public, private, and other special events.

The Arts Center of the Capital Region has several spaces and studios that artists, arts organizations and civic organizations can rent to create art and serve the public. Studio rentals, performances, concerts, film screenings, small scale fundraisers for community non-profits, meetings and symposia are typical events at ACCR.

Foyer / Main Lobby

Our Foyer/Main Lobby can be used for readings, meetings, and small receptions.  Our windows open to allow fresh air in the space.

$100 an hour for any event, inclusive of set up and break down.

Main GALLERY

The Arts Center’s Main Gallery is available on a limited basis for short-term exhibitions or events.

$100 per hour for any event, inclusive of set up and break down.

Blackbox Theater

The Arts Center’s Black Box Theatre seats up to 99 people and is equipped with a professional sound and lighting system, digital projection system, and two dressing rooms with private restroom facilities. Theater seating is collapsible allowing the space to be used as a private party room suitable for receptions and sit-down dinners. Renter is responsible for all materials and supplies.

Kitchen

The Kitchen is available for rental on an hourly basis in conjunction with events or on its own. It features a  4 burner gas stove, microwave, commercial three bay sink and plenty of prep space. Our windows open to allow fresh air in the space.

Dance Studio

The Dance Studio features a sprung floor and sound system. It is available for hourly rentals as a teaching, practice, or rehearsal space. Renter is responsible for all materials and supplies. Our windows open to allow fresh air in the space.

Studio Space

Other Art Studios are sometimes available for rental on a limited basis, depending on scheduling and proposed activity. Renter would be responsible for providing all materials and supplies for any activity that takes place in an Arts Center classroom. Our windows open to allow fresh air in the space.

$40/hour

Additional Details:

  • Security Deposit: Rental fee 30%, required for all events.
  • Refuse Fee: Up to $100 for large scale events, identified at the discretion of ACCR.
  • After-hours Fee: $30 an hour for any hours outside of our regular operating hours. Due to COVID these hours are shifting. Fees will be clarified at the time of booking.
  • COVID Regulations:
    Renter will be responsible for adhering to all COVID guidelines and the lack of doing so will result in forfeiture of the rental and any future rental.
  • Hours of Operation:
    Sun 1-4pm
    Mon-Thurs 9am-9pm
    Friday 9am-5pm
    Saturday 9am-2pm
  • Projector Fee: $40/first day, $20/each additional day
  • Piano: $50/first day, $25/each additional day
  • Black Box Theatre Technical Fee: $60/per rental contract
  • Black Box Marley Floor Installation Fee: $200
  • Insurance Requirement:
    Most rentals require proof of liability insurance declaring that the Arts Center and all of their respective officers, agents, and employees is afforded public liability insurance coverage as “primary and non-contributory additional insured” for any and all claims, including personal injury and property damage, which may be made against The Arts Center as a result, directly or indirectly, or the uses herein granted. Limits of the coverage shall not be less than $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate for personal injury and property damage.
