This class will begin at the barre and progress to the center, moving across floor combinations. While using traditional ballet technique and terminology, this class will also stress natural, healthy placement of the body, musicality, flow, and artistry. The teacher employs a very hands-on approach in her teaching, allowing students to focus on their individual progress. This class is for students ages 15 and up.

This class will use the concepts of suspension, gravity, energy, and counter-balance. It will explore these concepts through floor work, a standing warm-up, and dance phrases that give students a chance to really move. Learn about the basics of Ashtanga, also known as Power Yoga. The course will cover breath, bandhas (energy locks), meditation. Students will learn Sun Salutations and begin to learn the asanas (postures) in the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. This class will move more slowly than a typical Ashtanga class, allowing participants to develop skills necessary for future Ashtaga/Vinyassa Flow classes.

Glide across the floor with elegance as your frame your body with beautiful hand and arm movements; learn shimmies both soft and powerful; hypnotic movements of the hips such as figure eights, mayas and undulations. Set to the exiting rhythms of North Africa and the Middle East, students will learn a fun choreography incorporating these techniques. Belly dancing is a great low-impact workout, suitable for beginners and women of all ages.

This class is geared toward beginners who have never tried or want to expand their swing dancing repertoire. Steps will focus on uptempo beats of fast Swing, Jump Blues and Rockabilly music. The beginner Lindy Hop and Blues sections will cover more technical eight-count Lindy Hop and Charleston Steps with some easy and safe aerials. Some previous swing dance experience is helpful, but not necessary. No partner is required.

Learn to dance like a star! Feel the rhythm and learn the basic steps, turns, moves of Latin dance, focusing specifically on salsa, bachata, and merengue. This style emphasizes efficiency of movement, elegance, and body isolations with a spicy kick. So strike up the congas, and let's dance! No partner required.

This class will focus on the high energy and upbeat sounds and moves of modern hip-hop. Dancers will learn to feel comfortable in their own bodies and will be encouraged to add their own sense of style into the choreography. Each class will begin with a focus on stretches, isolated movements to enhance individual style, and simple hip-hop warm-up moves, ending with a learned choreographed routine. Individual dancers will be encouraged to reach levels appropriate for their needs and exhibited comfort level.
