Clay Camp for Kids
March 19, 2012 to March 23, 2012 — 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM Instructor: Beth JoslinPlay with clay! In this exciting week-long camp for kids, students ages 6-11 will learn to hand build with pinch pots, coils, and slabs. We will combine these three basic techniques to construct fun and whimsical creations with emphasis on form and texture. Each student will take home several glazed and finished creations. Please note that due to the kiln firing schedule, students will need to pick up their work a few days after camp has ended.

Spring has Sprung
April 9, 2012 to April 13, 2012 — 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM Instructor: Tamara DeMartinoSpring has sprung here at The Arts Center! This week we will discover the new season through an assortment of projects and learning experiences, drawing from artists and nature. We’ll walk trough The Arts Center’s galleries to get inspiration for imaginative drawings, view the artwork of Georgia O’Keefe to make our own watercolor flower paintings. We’ll make prints with plant life, and build gigantic bug sculptures with found objects. Join us as we welcome in the warm weather with a week full of art!
