This 3-week class will introduce students to the theory and practice of logo design. Topics explored will be branding, color theory, inspiration, trends and best practices. Students will use a combination of hand-sketched ideas and traditional brainstorming with Adobe Illustrator to create a series of branded projects. Students are welcome to bring in their own ideas if they are interested in developing their own brands. In this one-day workshop, students will be guided through the process of photographing families and couples focusing on group shots, posing, and selecting perfect on location settings. Make Movies People Will Want To See With Your DSLR: A Crash Course

This two evening workshop will acquaint DSLR video beginners with filmmaking tricks of the trade used to produce exciting motion pictures. The first night will cover planning and shooting. Technical information like controlling exposure, obtaining critical focus and video file codecs will be covered. Also, videography fundamentals like shot types, lighting schemes and storyboarding will be discussed and practiced. The second session will include a footage gathering exercise and editing instruction. We’ll go over how to convert video files to codecs readable by editing software and cover basics of digital video editing. The goal of this class is to prepare video capable DSLR owners to make complete, polished videos. Students should have prior DSLR experience.
