June 1, 2012 to September 1, 2012Having trouble fitting yoga into your busy or erratic schedule? The Arts Center offers 12 session yoga class cards! Buy a card and use it for any 12 yoga or pilates classes of your choosing. Students must present card to the instructor before each class begins.

Vinyasa Yoga For All
June 11, 2012 to July 16, 2012 — 05:30 PM to 06:45 PM Instructor: Meredith LaFaveThis all-levels Vinyasa yoga class will be energizing and rewarding, flowing from Sun Salutations, standing and seated postures, twists, back bends, inversions, and juicy well-deserved relaxations. Learning to build postures from the ground up allows each student to practice at the appropriate level with the opportunity to grow and challenge oneself safely. By connecting the breath to the movement with power and grace, regular Vinyasa practice will teach the student to know their body, quiet their mind, and connect to their inner self.

Farmer’s Market Yoga

This “yoga fusion” class has an upbeat, energetic vibe supported by eclectic music that will suit yogis of all levels. Om style yoga is a blended practice of flowing yoga asanas informed by precise attention to alignment and supported by the relaxed wakefulness of Buddhist mindfulness meditation. Ashtanga Yoga
July 18, 2012 to August 22, 2012 — 05:30 PM to 06:45 PM Instructor: Diane SimpsonLearn about the basics of Ashtanga, also known as Power Yoga. The course will cover breath, bandhas (energy locks), meditation.Students will learn Sun Salutations and begin to learn the asanas (postures) in the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. This class will move more slowly than a typical Ashtanga class, allowing participants to develop skills necessary for future Ashtaga/Vinyassa Flow classes.
