DROP IN RATE: $10.00 Tai Chi is a mind and body fitness practice often described as a “meditation in motion,” because of its gentle, serene but powerful movements. Tai Chi was developed in China as a martial art for self-defense but it has evolved into a graceful form of exercise now used by many to promote health and wellness, reduce stress, and to help cope with a variety of health issues. Tai Chi is a noncompetitive physical exercise in which you slowly perform a series of postures. Each posture flows one into another without pause, keeping your body in constant, steady, smooth motion. Tai Chi is performed with relaxed, slow breathing combined with deep mental focus, which helps to reduce stress and promote inner calm. Please join Marta Banks, an eight time international Tai Chi gold medal winner, with more than 20 years of experience teaching Tai Chi, for this wonderful practice.

Ballet

This class will begin at the barre and progress to the center, moving across floor combinations. While using traditional ballet technique and terminology, this class will also stress natural, healthy placement of the body, musicality, flow, and artistry. The teacher employs a very hands-on approach in her teaching, allowing students to focus on their individual progress. This class is intended for beginning students, but students with some experience are welcome. No class 9/2.

Learn the basics poses of the Primary Series in a gentle supported class. The course will cover asana (poses),
