Policies

In order to be eligible for a refund or class credit, registrant must contact Arts Center staff at least 7 days prior to its start date, The Arts Center can either place their full balance into a residual account to be used toward another purchase at the Arts Center OR process a refund (less a 10% administrative fee).

If a registrant contacts the Arts Center less than 7 days prior to the start date of the class or event, the student is not eligible for a refund and all tuition and fees will be forfeited.

Registrants have up to 1-year to use any applied credits towards a future class or event. After 1-year the credits would be forfeited to the Arts Center.

The Arts Center cannot pro-rate single or multiple sessions of a class. The Arts Center is not responsible for classes or events missed due to illness or other commitments. Please understand that our instructors are under contract and our space and materials are reserved and ordered ahead of time based on enrollment.

Students often are registered manually for limited space classes by our Education Department. Invoices should be paid immediately upon receipt. If an invoice goes unpaid 7-days prior to the start of your class the Arts Center would unfortunately have to withdraw you from the class. If your class has already occurred and your invoice is unpaid we unfortunately will be unable to register you for a future class until your previous invoice has been paid.

Please note, we do offer payment plans at the Arts Center if needed. Payment plans can only be applied to one class at a time.

The Arts Center is operating under the State of New York Low Risk Arts Guidelines.

In the event of inclement weather, The Arts Center may cancel or postpone classes. We generally follow TROY CSD’s cancellations/delays but with more cancellations as we have night classes. For up-to-date closing and delay information, please visit our homepage: artscenteronline.org
The Arts Center will make every attempt to reschedule classes due to severe weather. Make-up dates are added whenever possible onto the end of the class session. If a class cannot be added to the end of a session or is a one-day class, we do our best to reschedule a class that works best with all parties involved.

Any artwork left at The Arts Center longer than one month following the final date of class becomes property of The Arts Center and is subject to being discarded.
